FAQ

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static QR codes: the content is encoded in the pattern itself, so scanning never goes through a server and the code works forever. The trade-off is that you can't change the content later; just make a new code.

PNG or SVG?

PNG is fine for chats, websites and documents. For posters, banners or handing to a designer, choose SVG: it's a vector image and stays sharp at any size.

What is error correction?

Higher error correction lets the code scan even when part of it is dirty or covered, at the cost of denser dots. Medium (M) suits most uses; choose High (H) for print, outdoor use or a logo in the middle.

Can I use colors?

Yes, as long as the code is much darker than the background. Inverted codes (light on dark) can't be read by some apps, and the page warns you when colors are too similar. You can check the downloaded image with the QR Code Scanner.
