FAQ
Can I change the text that's already in the PDF?
Yes. Choose “Edit text” and click any text: the real text in the PDF is rewritten using its original font, so it looks just like the original. If a run can't be edited in place (a scan, or a subset font missing a glyph you typed), it's covered and redrawn instead — same result. Scanned pages have no text to click; use Whiteout plus Add text instead.
Does it support Chinese and other languages?
Yes. Added text is written into the PDF as real text that can be selected and copied.
Can whiteout hide sensitive information?
No. Whiteout only covers content visually; the original text stays in the file and can still be copied. Don't use it for ID or card numbers.
