Why is my file 30-something KB, not 50?
50 KB is a ceiling. We use the highest quality that stays under it; an image that's already smaller than 50 KB is kept as is (with metadata removed).
The form also fixes the pixels, e.g. 200×230.
Enter them as max width and height and the image is scaled down before compression. For an exact crop and a min–max KB range (e.g. IBPS 20–50 KB), use the Exam Photo Resizer.
Can I compress several photos at once?
Yes, up to 20 at a time; they're downloaded together as a ZIP.
